What Does the following optometrist Report Indicate? 

Hi Doc. My son is 5 yrs and his optometrist report is as follow Axis Cyl DVA RE 170 -1.00 6/6-2 LE 170 - 0.75 6/6-1 is this serious?

Hi,

Both eyes of your son are myopic, which is a very common condition of eyes in this age. These report of your optometrist show that with corrective glasses of the prescribed strength, his vision in both eyes will be 6/6 (normal). The no. in both eyes is slightly different and also in right eye it is cylindrical also. But this is not a matter of much concern and he will be able to see the distant objects clearly with the corrective glasses.
